Andy Slaughter MP Labour MP for Hammersmith & Chiswick
On Thursday, Britain will vote to decide who will be given the task of helping the UK recover after 14 years of mismanagement, stagnation and sleaze.
This will be one of the most important General Elections in living memory, and one where people are expressing a strong desire for change.
Hundreds of issues have come up at hustings and on the doorsteps. Local issues like Hammersmith Bridge. National ones like the NHS. And international issues like the situation in Palestine.
We need to rebuild our NHS and public services, revive our flagging economy, help those struggling with the cost of living crisis and restore a sense of duty and decency to politics and public life. And the only serious antidote to the current chaotic government is Labour.
In Hammersmith and Chiswick only Labour can beat the Tories. In neighbouring Chelsea and Fulham it is even closer with only Labour’s excellent Ben Coleman able to beat ex-Tory chairman Greg Hands.
It has been an honour to serve the residents of Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush, and White City.
If re-elected I will continue to work, as I have always tried to, on behalf of all residents, irrespective of their political views. I also look forward to representing Chiswick and becoming involved in the life of the community there.
I hope I can count on your vote on Thursday 4 July.
P.S.
Remember, polling stations will open at 7am and close at 10pm on the day. You can find the location of your polling station here:
